The SBA boys improved to 9-6 on the season with a 71-40 victory over Highmore-Harrold at Highmore on Tuesday, January 31. Cole McClain led the Crusaders with 24 points and 5 assists while Joel Pedersen added 16 points and 13 rebounds. The Crusaders shot 50% as a team and had 16 assists. Highmore-Harrold was led by Josiah Fawcett with 14 points and Benson Kleinschmidt added 10. The Pirates drop to 3-10 on the year.
The SBA girls came up short in a 47-41 loss to Highmore-Harrold. Kalli Quicke scored 10 points and dished out 3 assists for the ladies, while Bethany LaDue pulled down 10 rebounds to go with 7 points. SBA is now 9-5 while the Lady Pirates improve to 10-6. Next up for the boys and girls will be Mitchell Christian, who will travel to SBA on Monday, February 6.
