Girls and Boys Win At Home - Lower Brule

The SBA girls improved to 6-2 on the season with a 51-38 win over district 5 opponent Lower Brule in the SBA gym on Tuesday, January 10. Kalli Quicke scored 20 points on the night while Bethany LaDue scored 13 points to go along with 13 rebounds. Tricia Wilken chipped in 12 points and 6 assists. Paige Grooms scored 10 points for the Lady Sioux, who dropped to 3-3. The ladies will next play Wolsey-Wessington in the first round of the 281 tournament in Wolsey on Friday, January 13.

The boys led from start to finish in a 71-59 victory over the Sioux and improved to 6-2 on the year. Joel Pedersen scored 21 points and hauled in 18 rebounds while Cole McClain added 20 points and 5 assists. Titus Clark scored 16 points and pulled in 14 rebounds. Lower Brule was led by Reuben Estes with 17 points and 5 assists. The Sioux are now 6-3. Next up for the SBA boys is a trip to Iroquois on Thursday, January 12.
